Here we go!! It’s time for our next great adventure. Our original plans to go to Walt Disney World with our extended family got canceled (stupid Coronavirus!) but we were not going to let that completely ruin our summer. Instead, we adjusted and thought, “why not head out on another road trip adventure?'” So, here we are, starting a 10-day trip across Tennesee, North Carolina & Kentucky.
We left Hot Springs around 8am and drove 7 hours northeast to Nashville, TN. I’m happy to say that our first day on the road was uneventful. We arrived at Two Rivers Campground in Nashville around 3:30 pm, got our rig set up then headed out to find some good Nashville eats.
We found ourselves downtown on Broadway. If you think Nashville, this is what you think of. Restaurants & bars line the street on both sides, you see lots of neon signs and there is music pouring out of every window and door. We’ll be exploring that area more tomorrow during the day when the atmosphere becomes more “family-friendly”. We did find us a good place to get some Nashville hot-chicken at The Stillery.
Tomorrow the plan is to spend the entire day exploring Nashville. Of course, thanks to Coronavirus, that will look a lot different than it would have a year ago but that’s ok. We’re ready to “social distance” and wear our masks so that we can see more of this great land we live in.
